Kirk leads with soft-spoken tones and a keen edge of expertise and wisdom. Though his passion is architecture, it’s the people he comes into contact with that inspire him. He captures size, quality, lighting, color, daylight, acoustics, and abstractions to gain a sense of what’s important to his clients as well as how to help people enjoy their environments. He has been an instrumental force in the sustainable design movement for over 20 years, leading the formation of the AIA’s National Committee on the Environment in 1989.
