Over our four year relationship with Children International, we have had the privilege to helping some of their families. We funded a house for the Munoz Family in Honduras and for the Kharna Family in India. Instead of throwing ourselves a party to celebrate our firm's 30th anniversary, we made a donation to CI to allow them to build three more houses for deserving families. Plus there was a little left to enhance the library facilities at their George Center in Lusaka, Zambia. Click to read about the first house.
First up is the Baires Gomez family in Honduras. Four Children were abandoned my their mother and are currently living with their father, stepmother and two grandparents in a run-down home partially constructed of concrete blocks, scrap metal, wood and tarps.
The family was thrilled to learn that they will soon benefit from a newly constructed home. The staff in Honduras has already begun to order and deliver the building materials, and construction should begin within the next week or two.
Next week we will post information about two families in India who are also receiving new homes.
