It’s not uncommon for a typical office worker to spend 2,000 hours a year behind a desk. That’s a lot of time. Making that experience healthy and productive is critical. Fortunately there are many components of the design process that allow us to create a better office environment. Providing daylight and views, good indoor air quality and making a space aesthetically pleasing are all ways to make a beneficial impact on interiors. However one of the biggest factors influencing office design right now is efficiency.
As the needs of the workplace change, efficiency is key in providing our clients with more useful office environments. Efficiency can save our clients money, time and energy. It allows them to occupy smaller spaces saving on rent and utilities. It allows departments to be closer so staff can have more interactions with each other. We ♥ architecture because creating a great working environment for staff and a productive one for employers is as easy as solving a Rubik’s cube. “You need to fit how many people into your new office space?” To us, that challenge is what makes our job fun.
