 Meneilly Center for Mission
Planning Architecture Interiors Sustainable
45,000 sf new construction
- The project began with developing a master plan to better serve the ministries of Village Presbyterian church at their 8-acre Mission Road location. The multi-phased plan created new and more effective spaces for the various ministries and improved parking efficiency.
- Phase I was the Tillotson Building. The building houses the food pantry, clothes closet, Dominican medical ministry, computer training and several other ministries. The integrated loading dock facilitates receiving and redistributing food and supplies. The design of the building incorporates well insulated walls, state of the art energy effecient mechanical and lighting systems, abundant natural lighting and photovoltaics that supply power to the food pantry freezer.
- The architecture projects a contemporary image of stability and vibrance in a warm, open and inviting setting. All aspects of the project were coordinated with the Overland Park Planning Commission and neighborhood residents.
