• The generous landscaped entry plaza welcomes the community in a urban residential neighborhood to the community center. Features of the center include gymnasium, multipurpose, exercise, game, craft, office and support spaces.
• Materials comfortably blend with surrounding buildings and the design allows forms to represent activities within, while introducing light and views.
• Program elements were shaped with extensive community input while working with artist Allan Winkler on the “Dream Play” theme incorporating galvanized sheet metal sculptures.
